Anodising
Titanium anodising produces a very thin coating typically
0.2µm thick, and is suitable for the reduction of surface
friction on low wear components such as threads. Anodised
titanium naturally occurs in a wide spectrum of colours depending
on the electrolytical conditions used during the process.
Typical colours include purple and green. The variety of colours
is suitable for aesthetic finishes, as well as improving component
identification. Another application for Titanium Anodising
is the removal of surface iron contamination as a final clean
up operation on titanium fabrications.
